Albino Ripani ( ARi ) was born in Montefortino, in the Region Marche, in Italy. Since he was a teenager he loved painting and, over the years, he matured a passion for technical chromatic research. The legend of the Sybil, a fairy-priestess, guardian of an enchanted world of light , whose stories he has heard of since he was a child, has inspired his creativity, helping him to transfer on his canvases magic effects of light and mystery.
His works have been exhibited throughout Italy and in New York City, Los Angeles, Paris and Tokyo. Among many accolades, he won the National Contemporary Award ” Cupra Awards ” in 1981/83/85’, the Christmas award in Ferrara in 1986, The Florence International Cup in 1989, a Diploma of Merit at Art-expo California, and a First International Prize at the Medusa Awards in Rome, 1993. His latest works can be seen at his website.
Lisa Bernardini- Tuscan by birth, Roman by choice, Lisa is a well-known photographer in Europe where she has won several awards including the Primio Cupolone in 2009 and the Premio Gentes “Best Portrait” at the Grand Prix Italiano di Photografia in 2009. The deep contrasting hues she captures in her black and white photography mirror her approach to life- one must always choose either the black or the white, but never the gray of ambivalence. Her “street photography” analyzes the smallest details, bringing forth hidden emotions and pain in the faces, hands, eyes of her subjects. Her photos catch the eye, dramatically, reaching inside the viewer’s mind and soul.
Lisa is president of the cultural association “Occhio Dell’ Arte”. She is also the founder and artistic director of the prestigious Rassegna Nazionale Di Fotografia, Musica e Poesia. In 2012, she was admitted into the Raccolta Di Fotografia Della Galleria Civica Di Modena. This permanent collection contains the works of the very best photographers in the modern era such as Man Ray, Henri Cartier-Bresson, and Oliviero Toscani.
Her art can be viewed at her website.
